Hannah Wilson Creel is a native of Greene County, AL. She received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources from the University of West Alabama in 2013 and received a M.S. in Natural Resources, a certificate in Environmental Education & Science Communication, and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Idaho. Her graduate work focused on ground-truthing groundwater springs and mapping them in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness which is the largest contiguous wilderness area in the Lower 48. Hannah also worked with the University of Idaho Library on creating a digital collection of the historic and scientific archives and artifacts located at the Taylor Wilderness Research Station. When not conducting research, she taught outdoor education at the McCall Outdoor Sciences School (MOSS). She enjoys hiking, cooking, hunting, traveling, music, and spending time with family.
